Stewart Falls

We decided to be adventurous at least once this summer. So we took the girls on a hike to Stewart Falls. It's at least a mile each direction, Stew thinks it's closer to 2 miles each way. They did really well considering it's their first hike. We packed a lunch and ate it at the falls. The water was freezing! Stewart was the only person who actually went under the falls and there were a lot of people there that day too. Several others there went just behind the falls and got wet, but no one was brave enough to stand directly under it, except Stewart. He said it was strongh enough to pull his shorts off. I decided to watch from the sides and take pictures. I didn't want to hike in wet shoes. The hike back was a little harder for the girls. We had to start carrying the twins for the first time. Ash feel asleep in our arms. We had to take turns. I couldn't carry them as long as Stew could. They were exhauseted by the time we were finished and totally dirty! All our shoes had gotten wet and because the trail was all dust they were caked in dirt. As well as the rest of us. The hike took several hours, I think 4. But we had a lot of fun! It's nice that we can start doing this kind of stuff with the kids.
