A Quick Post Before More Yellowstone Pictures

So our 9th Anniversary was this past wednesday, Dec 17! I can't believe it's been that long! It feels like we have been married forever, but in a good way. I have the most amazing husband in the entire world! Sorry, but it's true!
Well, we decided NOT to do anything for our anniversary. We are really feeling the pinch this season. Which doesn't make sense since we aren't spending much for Christmas. But on the upside we had the opportunity to fly to Denver on the 18th to have dinner. Yup, you read that right! We flew to Denver for the sole purpose of having dinner. Cool huh! Why would we do anything for our anniversary when the firm was paying for our flights, hotel room, cabs, and all meals while we are traveling (lunch, dinner, and breakfast).
We had dinner at the Capital Grille. It was fantastic!
Thought you might like to check it out!
The reason we had this opportunity is because Stewart spent 19 weeks in Denver working on a huge project. It was a very hard summer having him gone all the time. We did get a few perks. Like having the firm fly me and the girls out for a week so we could spend some time with Stew. The girls had a blast! It was like a vacation for the girls, but Stew still had to work. It was nice to have all our meals taken care of. The second perk was going out for the celebration dinner. The job was scheduled to end June 30 and instead ended just a few weeks ago. It just was timed right with our anniversary.
The dinner was increadible! It started with hor d'oeuvres. Lollipop Lamb Chops with Balsamic Glaze and a bunch of sea food. The lamb was good, but I had NO desire to try anything else. The chilled seafood platter had lobster, oysters on the half shell, shrimp, and other thing I don't like. But as a decoration they put the upper body of the cooked lobster. I'm sorry but my food should not be staring at me while I eat! It even had all his little claws. Just a little creepy. So I flipped my menu over and wrote "Help Me!" on it and put it into his little claw. It looked kinda cute and I was mad I didn't have my camera to snap a photo of it. The waiters thought is was pretty dang funny and had to take it back to show it to everyone. I guess I'm just not ready for a high class restaruant!
The dinner lasted several hours and was very nice. And to top off the evening I stole 6 snowflakes that were used as decorations. I couldn't resist myself. For our second anniversary Stew took me to see the Nutcracker and I bought a beautiful snowflake that I could use as a ornament. Well, they had very similar snowflakes on the table and I thought it would be perfect souvioner! It was our anniverasry dinner. The others at our table thought it was pretty funny that I was going to take some of the decorations and made sure that I had enough for our entire family. Actually they tried to get me to take ALL the decorations but the minature glass balls didn't do that much for me. So I stuck to the glittery snowflakes.
We went back to the hotel, went to bed, woke up early and flew home. We weren't even gone for 24 hours. Well, there you have it.

What's an anniversary without souvenirs!? Good job!
