Cooking School/Class

As many of you know, Kaitlyn goes to a charter school and has to wear uniforms. So when the school celebrated Red Ribbon week Kaitlyn was really excited. There were 3 days that she could dress differently. Wednesday- wear your pajamas to school (I don't remember what the reason was but who cares right?) Thursday, backwards day - you still had to wear your unifrom but you could look silly as Kaitlyn put it, and Friday - dress up as your favorite sport. She went as a ballerina. Go figure. But unfortunatly Kailtyn got strep throat early in the week and had to miss 2 days of school. She missed Wednesday and was so crushed. I felt bad because she begged me to let her go to school and I just couldn't send her because she hadn't been on the antibiotics for 24 hours. It had barely been 8. So I told her we would have a cooking class and I would be the teacher and all of the students would have to wear their pajamas to school. So here are the pictures of our Cooking Class.

Class has begun. All students must be dressed accordingly. Except for Addy, she didn't want to wear anything under her apron and I wasn't about to fight her on it.

The plan was to make a banana cream pie. But when we got home from the store Kaitlyn stepped on 1/2 of the bananas. So I had to choose to either throw them away or make banana bread. We chose to make the bread also.

Now it's time to make the pie crust.

She did a good job at blending the ingredients.

Like a pro.

Are we done yet? Actually Hailey is showing the piece of pie crust she has just rolled out.

The pie crust is finished but Kaitlyn didn't get a chance to show off the piece that she rolled out.

I can cook too!

Gotta play in flour.

Now I have to show off my white hands.

Me too!

Ashley lost interest in the cooking/baking and decided to wash the dishes. Actually she just wanted to play in the water.

Got a tissue?

Don't worry, I turned my head away from the food while I was sneezing.

yummy, I always like my pie crust with snotty noses!:))
Hailey and Kaitlyn, you look like master chefs. And Ashley and Addison, what huge helpers you are. Robyn, you should go into the cooking school business. You could be the next Rachel Ray.
